 Kayla brought in a turtle she found.

 We played two fun games to help review for our Science test.

Reflecting on our week:

We practiced our spelling words using sidewalk chalk.

 We "shared the pen" by taking turns writing sentences to create a story about a dragon and a princess.

                     We learned and wrote about some the characters in the book of Genesis.

 We practiced center activities and reminded each other what we do during center time.

 The math "doubles" game was a big hit.

 Mrs. Helmpkamp came to talk to us on Friday about how to use and take care of our laptops.

Reflecting on our week:
We had a FANTASTIC first few days of school!
                                             We named our frogs: Lipstick and Fancy

                   After taking a class vote the boy is named Fancy and the girl is named Lipstick.

                                            We had lots of fun getting to know each other.

                                       We washed away our Jitters with special Jitter Juice!

                                         
                                             The students went shopping in our classroom library.

    The students wrote about their summer and used classroom tools to help them with spelling.

                          We explored our new math boxes. The clock and thermometer were a big hit!

                                   We are a GREAT class and we are ready for a fun year!!!
