Reflecting on our week:

We talked about Author's Purpose this week. We cut up Scholastic book orders and decided if the intent was to inform or entertain.

We learned about editing marks. Elliot is editing my story about a dog on the SMARTboard.

We have been working on expression this week during guided reading. The students are doing an excellent job heeding punctuation and reading with emotion. We are going to make a movie about our two stories from guided reading. I have been learning about how to use a green screen and I hope that we can create a very entertaining movie. They are excited to start this process on Monday; wish us luck.
